Twenty One Pilots added one final leg for their “Clancy World Tour” upon the release of their 2025 album Breach. I went to “The Clancy World Tour: Breach” in Burgettstown, PA, for what was my 5th time seeing the band.
After seeing them in late 2024 in Columbus for “The Clancy World Tour” I thought that was the best tour they did up to that date. In their setlists they always have a good balance of new songs and old songs, whilst also playing hits like “Ride” “Stressed Out” and “Heathens”
The concert was at The Pavilion At Star Lake, which was a venue I had never been to before, but had heard good things about. Our seats were at section 8, Row N, which provided a good view of the main stage, but also their B stage that was at the front of the lawn that they called “The Bandito Camp”
The only issues we faced with the venue were parking, but even then it was rather easy to get in and out of the venue. We bought early parking therefore we got there extremely early, and it also had its perks of leaving as we were already close to the exit. If you are attending a show at The Pavilion At Star Lake, I heavily recommend buying early parking if available.
The opening band Dayglow was pretty good, though I preferred Balu Brigada who opened at “The Clancy World Tour” the prior year, I still enjoyed the opener, and songs like “Hot Rod” and “Can I Call You Tonight?” were both very good songs to hear live.
Right around 9PM, it was finally time for Twenty One Pilots to come on, their set opened with “Overcompensate” which was the same song they opened their previous tour leg with. What followed was “The Contract” and “RAWFEAR” off Breach which would see lead singer Tyler Joseph have a handheld like camera on him, as he took off his mask, while drummer Josh Dun wore a mask that would make his eyes red to resemble the music video for “The Contract”
As “RAWFEAR” ended, Joseph left the stage for the first time, and a video of fans singing “We Don’t Believe What’s On TV” began to play. I was lucky enough to get to the concert early enough to be in the video, although it wasn’t long, it was also a fun opportunity to have. The video would cut, and Joseph would appear back on stage to sing the rest of the song.
From there the setlist began to flow, with songs from nearly every album, with my personal highlight being “Backslide” which has become one of my personal favorites of the band’s to hear live, with the final line being screamed by Joseph. Their medley of “Shy Away” “Heathens” and “Next Semester” that they performed was also fantastic, with the transitions between songs being cohesive, and also very strong.
After the short medley, Dun would make his way over to the B stage, whilst “Routines In The Night” began to play, Joseph would walk through the crowd, whilst singing, leading to him getting on top of the car from their “Heavydirtysoul” music video.
They then performed “Message Man” with a snippet of “Pet Cheetah” which was, in my opinion, a top 3 performance on the night. It was the first time “Message Man” was performed at a tour since their 2021 tour. They brought back the same concert mixing which makes the bridge even better as Joseph dips his hands into black paint, to once again go with their music video lore.
Another one of my personal favorite moments came while they played “Chlorine” as Joseph walked back to A stage, he sang the final verse with people dressed up as the creature from their music videos named Ned. Then the ominous Torchbearer theme played, as Josh walked back to stage, as “Dema” which is the city where their lore takes place appears on the main stage.
Then came the performances of “Jumpsuit” “Nico & The Niners” “Heavydirtysoul” and “The Line” which brought the energy fully back into the crowd. “Jumpsuit” has always been another one of my favorites they perform, especially during the bridge into the final chorus, due to the difference in pacing at the end of the song and how Joseph screams the final chorus.
The only thing that I didn’t really enjoy in this setlist was the lack of songs off their newest album Breach which I found confusing as the album just came out so I thought we’d hear more. They would play “Garbage” which was my personal favorite song of the night, and in my opinion should be a mainstay on their setlists, along with was my personal favorite song off Breach to hear live.
They also kept “Tally” on the setlist, after adding it a few shows before, which was another great song to hear. They did have some autotune issues at the end of the song when Joseph sings a very high note at the end, but it made for a funny moment nonetheless.
“Ride” is always a classic on the setlist, with them bringing up a kid to sing the final chorus with them, it creates a cool moment. Followed by “Drum Show” off Breach. The highlight of this performance was Joseph’s bass part, but also Josh Dun singing the bridge, then going into when the fans hold up a drum set that he does a drum solo on. My friend had a fantastic view of it, and I’m very jealous.
The encore of the show began with the opening song to Breach, “City Walls” which I thought was really good live, but the fact that they only had the music video on as stage design was a little disappointing, I also found the transition into “Guns For Hands” to be a little surprising, but still fun. The song then took another interesting transition into the bands biggest hit “Stressed Out” which has the best concert instrumentation in my opinion, specifically when it comes to the outro.
Twenty One Pilots always end all their concerts with the song “Trees” off Vessel, which is a classic for any fan, as then end it with them playing a bass drum on top of the crowd as the confetti flies. They bow, and say “We’re twenty one pilots and so are you, we’ll see you next time, peace” which ended the show.
If you haven’t seen Twenty One Pilots live, and are a fan of Alt-Rock music, I strongly recommend, their concerts are very cohesive, and there’s usually never a dull moment. They always have some easter eggs for die hard fans, and also connect the shows to their lore they cover in their music videos.
Unfortunately, Joseph did announce that apart from a few festivals in 2026, they do not know when they will tour again. Fans at first were scared they wouldn’t tour ever again, but I feel like they would be more transparent if they were fully done touring.
I think this tour was great, I think I still prefer “The Clancy World Tour” as I did see them in their hometown, and also I felt the setlist was a little bit stronger. However “The Clancy World Tour: Breach” was still fantastic, and another showing of how good Twenty One Pilots is live.
